English for Elementary Learners Micro-credential

This Micro-credential aims to teach basic English skills, covering listening, speaking, reading, and writing, aligning with the A2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

The course guides learners in grasping commonly used phrases and vocabulary relevant to daily life. It enables them to engage in straightforward conversations, read basic texts, and compose brief, uncomplicated notes and messages. This pathway is designed for individuals who have completed the Beginner level and are eager to advance their English proficiency further.

This Micro-credential offers a weekly learning module that integrates the four key language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Upon completion, graduates will be able to:

  • Demonstrate understanding of simple sentences and commonly used phrases on immediate and relevant topics.
  • Engage in uncomplicated and regular activities that involve straightforward information exchange.
  • Read and understand basic texts, such as short descriptions and simple narratives.
  • Produce simple written texts that communicate basic ideas and information.

Age Requirements:
  • Domestic learners: Must be 16 years or older.
  • International learners: Must be 14 years or older.
General Requirements:
  • All learners must possess a valid visa (if applicable) and have suitable travel and medical insurance.
  • Every learner will undergo an English proficiency test to confirm they are placed at the appropriate level.
